Scope of this notice

This notice covers tesispro.lat (LATAM and the United States). If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom or another country outside LATAM/US, use tesispro.org.

National data-protection and consumer laws may apply where you live. We do not display seals of those authorities.

Laws that may apply

Paraguay: Laws 1682/01 and 6534/20. Consumers: SEDECO (not a seal).
Brazil: LGPD (Law 13.709/2018), because processing takes place on a server in Brazil and, if you are in Brazil, also by offering the service. Authority: ANPD.
Argentina: Law 25.326 (AAIP). Mexico: applicable personal-data law and the competent authority. Colombia: Law 1581/2012 (SIC). Chile: Laws 19.628 and 21.719 where they apply. Peru: Law 29733. Uruguay: Law 18.331. Other LATAM countries: your national law.
United States: no general federal GDPR-style statute. The FTC Act prohibits deceptive practices. California CCPA/CPRA applies only to “businesses” above revenue or volume thresholds; we do not currently treat ourselves as a covered business. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that changes, we will update this notice.

Data we process

Form: name, email, phone (optional), country, time zone, working language, type, level, manual, phase, deadline, description of what exists, institution or journal (optional), file (optional).
Integrity acceptance with UTC timestamp and version.
Technical: language, path, truncated IP hash, truncated user-agent, date, reference.

Purposes

Handle the diagnostic and, if you hire us, perform the work (pre-contractual steps at your request / contract).
Keep the integrity acceptance to show we do not offer ghostwriting of assessed work.
Run a secure site; strictly necessary cookies only.
We do not sell lists or advertise with tracking profiles.

Recipients and Brazil

People at TesisPro. Technical hosting of the site and diagnostic mail (SMTP) on a server in Brazil. WhatsApp is off. No social pixels in this version.

Retention

Diagnostic without a later contract: 12 months after last contact.
With a contract: engagement plus applicable limitation periods.
IP hash and user-agent: 30 days.
Session cookie: end of session. tp_lang: up to 12 months.

Access, correction, deletion or objection to the extent of the law of your country. Email: contacto@tesispro.lat.

Authorities: SEDECO (PY, consumer), ANPD (BR), AAIP (AR), SIC (CO) or your national authority. In the US, the FTC for deceptive practices. We do not show a “Do Not Sell” link because we do not sell or share data for cross-context ads and we are not treating ourselves as a CCPA-covered business.

Necessary cookies only. University-level service; do not submit a diagnostic for anyone under 16 (US COPPA: under 13). Third-party data in uploads only if you may share it. No solely automated decisions with legal effects.
